Caylin McGlynn (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist with a focus on filmmaking, along with stage management, tech, editing, sound design, dance, and choreography. She uses her education in Communication Arts: Radio, Television, Film to inform her work, as well as her on-set film experience, her work as a dance instructor, and years of experience as a radio DJ and surrounded by music scenes of Madison and her hometown, Austin. Her passion is exploring the ways in which visuals, sound, and movement work together to create a complex piece of art and evoke an array of emotions.

Her journey in film started the same as many, working as production assistant on a variety of projects. This includes working under world renowned choreographer and filmmaker, Litza Bixler. During this time, she also had the opportunity to work with and learn from respective greats in their craft, editor Celia Haining and producer Anna Brunoro.  This experience working on set and behind the scenes gave her the skillset to expand and take on new challenges, such as directing her first festival short film this. year, Uptown Girl (2024).

Currently, Caylin uses her background in film production working as a freelance filmmaker and as a part-time stage manager/assistant stage manager for various productions, including with the Martha Graham Dance Company and School. She is the host of a weekly radio music show on Radio Free Brooklyn as well and is a member of NYC's iconic 8-Ball Community Collective.
